While working across--and rising through the ranks of different industries like healthcare, technology, finance, telecom, advertising, and transportation - I’ve had to prove myself time and time again. I learned early on that while my knowledge could help me get my foot in the door, my leadership, diplomacy, and advocacy skills would ultimately help me grow my career.

I learned how to bring my voice to the conversation when I’d rather keep my head down and do the work. I learned how to proactively build relationships and advocate for myself instead of waiting for others to see my value and champion my work.

And I’ve learned to command the respect my talents and hard work deserve without letting others take credit for my achievements. Today, I'm a technology leader and have been invited to mentor and contribute as a panelist at events focusing on women and historically underrepresented people in technology. I found my passion in focusing on the strengths that can help one achieve success.
